Where, how and why...
Our Workshops
At our workshop in the famous Arts and Crafts village of Ditchling, just over the South Downs behind Brighton, we personally design, make and finish each individual bag. Every stitch, cut and fit is made by us; we made a firm choice to place quality above quantity and we offer a bespoke service to complement our range of over thirty unique handmade bags. Sumptuous calf, nubuck hides, ostrich and crocodile printed leathers are just some of the textures used to create a range of diverse designs for day to day living, weddings and special occasions.
Simplicity and Attention to Detail
We believe that simple is best and that our attention to the smallest detail is what gives our bags the edge. We travel to leather fairs in Bologna to select the best raw materials, we road test our fastenings and toggles so that they will never let our customers down and we constantly refine and extend our range to keep the designs current and unique.
Variety
In addition to core colours such as brown, black, red and olive, we have rich plum and wines, classy steel and slate greys and for the ladies who want to be seen, a vibrant hot magenta. Many designs have a sculptural quality; wearable works of art, as functional as they are striking. The beauty of our bags is that they are timeless; they work next to vintage silk and brand new denim, they can cope with a day at the races and a hike round the supermarket. We never sacrifice function for style; we go the extra mile to marry practicality with beauty as we believe that one deserves the other.
